With NikePlus you create an online profile where you gather and upload your running stats. Stats include how many calories you burnt, how far you've run, speed & distances... Your online profile is part of a community of other runners, where you can share stats with your friends, challenge and encourage each other. On top of that you earn trophies and badges and can compete in challenges provided to you by NikePlus.

Zombies, Run is a game you play while jogging. Basically you jog where ever you want, while listening to a mission through your headphones. Your overall mission is to get to the last remaining outpost and gather supplies on the way. Apart from also collecting stats, joggers are encouraged to keep coming back, as with every run you go on, you increase the storyline. The more runs you go on, the more supplies you gather, which you can use to rebuild your home town.
All these game elements (feedback in form of stats, a community, collecting achievements through trophies or supplies...) are strong human motivational mechanisms, which are also integral to Gamification.
